Wildcats
Why I joined a Buddyslim team. Why I stay on a team. This has been going through my mind lately. Why I joined was easy. I am very shy and a good friend of mine thought it would be a good way to open up and meet new people. I was hesitant for several reasons; the first being shy and not wanting to post on the forum. The second reason, I wasn’t sure I was completely committed to changing my life on a permanent basis. I didn’t want to feel tied down. What if I wanted to quit something yet again?
Why I stay on the team is a little harder to explain. I just want to get healthy and work on finding my own happiness. I am 258 pounds. I have several weight related health problems. I need to change my lifestyle. I don’t have time for anything else. Sometimes other stuff comes up though; rumors, immaturity, and jealousy. If you are truly here to better yourself, why would you take the time to engage in this behavior? Why would you attack other people? It seems like being on a team can open you up to some of that negativity. It can come from competitive team members, or even former team members.
After weighing the pros and cons of being on a team, in my opinion, The Team; 
the pros won hands down. Why, first and foremost, because of my amazing team leaders. They continually let me know they are there for me, they don’t push me, they walk next to me. They make me see good things in myself I never have before. They support me no matter what. They don’t always agree with me, but they stay by my side. The second reason is because of the other teammates who like me, want support, advice, friendship and offer the same in return. They go through their own struggles. When I have a bad day or week even, I am ashamed to admit what I have done. They welcome me with understanding, open arms. It is because of that team I do stay on my journey. I veer off now and then and with their help I find my way back on the path.

awww what a wonderful blog. And I agree with you. being on a team has so many pro’s and so much support and motivation.. heck without it you and me would not be as close and your friendship means the world to me.
I hope you know I will ALWAYS be there to walk behind or beside you which ever you need.

What a beautifully well written blog. I know recently people have tried to run our name through the mud, as someone close to me termed it.
The Wildcats is a big group, energetic and yikes get 20 women in the same room and there will be some friction.
There is a line I no longer cross. Negativity. Don’t need it don’t want it in my life. Got issues, take it up with the people who bothers you.
The thing I love about this blog, it’s real and honest.
That my dear is why we are great buddies.
Yes, I WILL Always walk along side you - never behind you pushing nor before you tugging, always by your side. Here to understand your struggle, your needs, your wants, I’m here to see you achieve all your goals.
We will falter and fall flat on our face over and over and over again.
Diff. now is we have each other!
and you know you are commited to a life style change I know you are.. yep we all have pumps sometimes there a bit more like hills and mountains but we never give up..
You know what people MAY TRY TO SAY OUR GROUP HAVE ISSUES BUT THOSE ARE OUR ISSUES - NO ONE ELSE GOT TO BE IN OUR BUSINESS BUT US.
WE ARE HERE FOR OUR GROUP AND OUR GROUP ONLY!
Whoever wants to be nosey and get in our business - then hey, curiosity always do what…????

There is negativity everywhere in life. The best we can do is try not to get sucked up in it! It looks like you are doing a great job on that front.
When I was on the Wildcats I loved it so much and was heartbroken when I had to turn my internet off. I dont remember any drama what so ever. All I remember was a group of possitive loving ladies who supported me a lot, no matter what and even though I’m not on the team now still do support me. Great blog!
I think the reason I lost as much as I did is being a part of the WC team. Just any team would probably help. I think it is the connection and support that helped keep me motivated and accountable.
I am very shy too…BS has helped me a great deal…knowing I am usually safe to open up and just spill my insides out…we all need a place to do that and Im glad you found it here too =) HUGS girl!!
I must say, this is such a beautiful, well written blog! I’m glad that as team leaders we are there for you and walk with you. We are all either on this journey with you or have mostly finished, but have gone through the journey. I am so proud of you for joining and staying on the team and I love how much you have come out of your shell!! Love you lady, and keep with it and keep getting stronger!
